Unlike my wife and son, it has taken a lot of courage for me to post on this site. I wasn't quite sure if I'd ever stop being angry over this mess. When Rosemary and I visited IC, it was very obvious that Driscoll cannot ever be replaced. However, for Dean's sake, we have to move on. We have to begin a new journey and adopt a new family. Jesus will live in our hearts forever, but more importantly --- so will Driscoll. From the entire Sprang family, thank you for the memories.

On behalf of all the CURRENT Driscoll Cathcolic HS students, we thank Mr. Gene Faut, Mr. Stuart, and the entire save driscoll community. In a certain way we did save Driscoll. When word spread that the CB were closing us the rumors started up agian, but by showing that we can NEVER give up on Driscoll, we saved the legacy and the final thoughts people would ever think of Driscoll. When Driscoll breathes her last breath, we will breath it with her, and we can say that the Driscoll legacy and The name itself, will forever remain an honorable, and prideworthy name. 15, 20, even 30 yrs, from now when people ask students at Driscoll where they went to high school, no matter what year you are now, we will say it with pride, "I went to Driscoll." Thank you agian to the save driscoll group, Mr. Muehlmen, Mrs. Rehder and all the current faculty of Driscoll Catholic. St. John Baptist De Lasalle -- PRAY FOR US! Live Jesus in our hearts -- FOREVER! Live Driscoll in our hearts -- ETERNALLY!

Again, and Again I keep coming to this site, maybe 10 times a day. I not only look for any updates, but I just think my heart says that maybe, just maybe somthing might change. Last night the Driscoll families that were interested in Immaculate Conception H.S. were invited to their open house. This truly was an experience that I will say is extremely hard to describe. The school, principal, staff and parents were very welcoming and accomdiating to all of us, except for one important detail IT WASN'T DRISCOLL., however I will say because of the "Driscoll Family" that we all are, we walked with PRIDE AND IT SHOWED. Everyone knew that we weren't there by choice, and accepted it gratefully. Thank you DRISCOLL for making us and our children the people we are today...we all walk with PRIDE, BECAUSE NO MATTER WHERE WE GO....WE WILL ALWAYS BE DRISCOLL!! May God bless everyone on their journeys ahead.

Even though this is a time of sadness, it is also the time to make a solid decision on our futures. I'll never forget something that Brother Samuel shared years back that is helpful during our current time. He always talked about focus and making clear choices. If you walk on the right side of the road, you'll be OK. If you walk on the left side of the road, you'll be OK. If you decide to walk in the middle...sooner or later, you will be squished like a grape. This is the same dilemma we face now. If you decide to take a clear path of yes, you'll be OK. If you take a clear path of no, you'll also be OK. If you go on in life by deciding..Maybe so...sooner or later, you will get squished like that grape. No is the time to decide your future. Be consistent and clear. All will work out in the end.

The hopes of one day sending my son to Driscoll has now been shattered. Public school all the way now. I have truly lost my faith in the church. DC will truly be missed by all.

As a long-time friend, confidant, employee, and loyal follower of Buzz, I can appreciate everyone's support. Whether it was on the football field, or in a catering van, Buzz has always been there for me - like he has for many of you. I'm trying to convince Buzz to take a few moments and make a statement, but with his hectic schedule, I'm not sure when that may be. He did want me to let everyone know that DC will always be in his heart and those trophies will stand forever. He believes we should bury the trophies in the sacred ground that is Barth Field and allow our memories to remain forever. As a loyal supporter of DC, I too am saddened by this result - but as always, must agree with Buzz. Our MEMORIES will never be taken from us.

I have always been impressed with your students and now I would like to commmend your parents & alumni for their gallant efforts to try to save your beloved school. It's a shame the diocese did not see what everyone else saw in your mission, unsurpassed dedication, perserverance and love for a school. All you can do now is hold on to all those great Driscoll memories. Long live Driscoll!
